yusabbiḥu lillāhi mā fis-samāwāti wa mā fil-arḍil-malikil-quddūsil-‘azīzil-ḥakīm(i).

All in the heavens and earth glorify God, the Sovereign, the Holy, the Mighty, the Wise.

2

huwal-lażī ba‘aṡa fil-ummiyyīna rasūlam minhum yatlū ‘alaihim āyātihī wa yuzakkīhim wa yu‘allimuhumul-kitāba wal-ḥikmata wa in kānū min qablu lafī ḍalālim mubīn(in).

He sent a Messenger from among the unlettered people to recite His verses, purify them, and teach them the Book and wisdom, though they were previously in clear error.

3

wa ākharīna minhum lammā yalḥaqū bihim, wa huwal-‘azīzul-ḥakīm(u).

And to others among them who have not yet joined them. He is the Mighty, the Wise.

4

Żālika faḍlullāhi yu'tīhi may yasyā'(u), wallāhu żul-faḍlil-‘aẓīm(i).

This is God’s grace, granted to whom He wills. God possesses boundless grace.

5

maṡalul-lażīna ḥummilut-taurāta ṡumma lam yaḥmilūhā kamaṡalil-ḥimāri yaḥmilu asfārā(n), bi'sa maṡalul-qaumil-lażīna każżabū bi'āyātillāh(i), wallāhu lā yahdil-qaumaẓ-ẓālimīn(a).

Those entrusted with the Torah but failed to uphold it are like donkeys carrying heavy books. Wretched is the example of those who deny God’s signs. God does not guide the unjust.

6

qul yā ayyuhal-lażīna hādū in za‘amtum annakum auliyā'u lillāhi min dūnin-nāsi fa tamannawul-mauta in kuntum ṣādiqīn(a).

Say, O Muhammad, to the Jews, If you claim to be God’s chosen over others, then long for death if you are truthful.

7

wa lā yatamannaunahū abadam bimā qaddamat aidīhim, wallāhu ‘alīmum biẓ-ẓālimīn(a).

They will never long for death due to the sins their hands have committed. God knows well the wrongdoers.

8

qul innal-mautal-lażī tafirrūna minhu fa innahū mulāqīkum ṡumma turaddūna ilā ‘ālimil-gaibi wasy-syahādati fa yunabbi'ukum bimā kuntum ta‘malūn(a).

Say, The death you flee will surely meet you. Then you will return to the Knower of the unseen and seen, who will inform you of your deeds.

9

yā ayyuhal-lażīna āmanū iżā nūdiya liṣ-ṣalāti miy yaumil-jumu‘ati fas‘au ilā żikrillāhi wa żarul-bai‘(a), żālikum khairul lakum in kuntum ta‘lamūn(a).

O believers, when the call for Friday prayer is made, hasten to remember God and leave trade. That is better for you, if you only knew.

10

fa iżā quḍiyatiṣ-ṣalātu fantasyirū fil-arḍi wabtagū min faḍlillāhi ważkurullāha kaṡīral la‘allakum tufliḥūn(a).

When the prayer is finished, disperse in the land, seek God’s bounty, and remember Him often so you may succeed.

When they see trade or amusement, they rush to it, leaving you, O Muhammad, standing. Say, What is with God is better than amusement or trade. God is the best provider of sustenance.
