qul a‘ūżu birabbil-falaq(i).
Say, I seek refuge in the Lord of dawn,
min syarri mā khalaq(a).
from the evil of what He created,
wa min syarri gāsiqin iżā waqab(a).
and from the evil of darkness when it settles,
wa min syarrin-naffāṡāti fil-‘uqad(i).
and from the evil of sorceresses who blow on knots,
wa min syarri ḥāsidin iżā ḥasad(a).
and from the evil of an envier when he envies.
