تَبَّتْ يَدَآ اَبِيْ لَهَبٍ وَّتَبَّۗ
tabbat yadā abī lahabiw wa tabb(a).
Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and he is doomed!
مَآ اَغْنٰى عَنْهُ مَالُهٗ وَمَا كَسَبَۗ
mā agnā ‘anhu māluhū wa mā kasab(a).
His wealth and deeds will not avail him.
سَيَصْلٰى نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍۙ
sayaṣlā nāran żāta lahab(in).
He will burn in a blazing fire.
وَّامْرَاَتُهٗ ۗحَمَّالَةَ الْحَطَبِۚ
wamra'atuh(ū), ḥammālatal-ḥaṭab(i).
His wife, the slander-spreading firewood carrier, too.
فِيْ جِيْدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّنْ مَّسَدٍ ࣖ
fī jīdihā ḥablum mim masad(in).
A twisted rope of palm fiber around her neck.
