Q.S Al-Humazah (اَلْهُمَزَة) - 9 Number of Verses

وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍۙ

wailul likulli humazatil-lumazah(tin).

Woe to every backbiter and slanderer

ۨالَّذِيْ جَمَعَ مَالًا وَّعَدَّدَهٗۙ

allażī jama‘a mālaw wa ‘addadah(ū).

Who amasses wealth and counts it

يَحْسَبُ اَنَّ مَالَهٗٓ اَخْلَدَهٗۚ

yaḥsabu anna mālahū akhladah(ū).

He thinks his wealth will make him immortal

كَلَّا لَيُنْۢبَذَنَّ فِى الْحُطَمَةِۖ

kallā layumbażanna fil-ḥuṭamah(ti).

Nay, surely he will be thrown into Hutamah

وَمَآ اَدْرٰىكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ ۗ

wa mā adrāka mal-ḥuṭamah(tu).

And do you know what Hutamah is

نَارُ اللّٰهِ الْمُوْقَدَةُۙ

nārullāhil-mūqadah(tu).

It is Allah's blazing fire

الَّتِيْ تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْاَفْـِٕدَةِۗ

allatī taṭṭali‘u ‘alal-af'idah(ti).

Which burns up to the hearts

اِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِمْ مُّؤْصَدَةٌۙ

innahā ‘alaihim mu'ṣadah(tun).

Indeed, it is sealed tightly over them

فِيْ عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ ࣖ

fī ‘amadim mumaddadah(tin).

While they are bound to long pillars
