اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِيْنَۙ
al-ḥamdu lillāhi rabbil-‘ālamīn(a).
All praise be to Allah Lord of all worlds
وَاِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةِ اِنِّيْ جَاعِلٌ فِى الْاَرْضِ خَلِيْفَةً ۗ قَالُوْٓا اَتَجْعَلُ فِيْهَا مَنْ يُّفْسِدُ فِيْهَا وَيَسْفِكُ الدِّمَاۤءَۚ وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَكَ ۗ قَالَ اِنِّيْٓ اَعْلَمُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ
wa iż qāla rabbuka lil-malā'ikati innī jā‘ilun fil-arḍi khalīfah(tan), qālū ataj‘alu fīhā may yufsidu fīhā wa yasfikud-dimā'(a), wa naḥnu nusabbiḥu biḥamdika wa nuqaddisu lak(a), qāla innī a‘lamu mā lā ta‘lamūn(a).
When your Lord said to the angels, I will place a vicegerent on earth, they said, Will You place one who causes corruption and sheds blood, while we glorify and sanctify You? He said, I know what you do not know.
۞ لَيْسَ الْبِرَّاَنْ تُوَلُّوْا وُجُوْهَكُمْ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَلٰكِنَّ الْبِرَّ مَنْ اٰمَنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ وَالْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةِ وَالْكِتٰبِ وَالنَّبِيّٖنَ ۚ وَاٰتَى الْمَالَ عَلٰى حُبِّهٖ ذَوِى الْقُرْبٰى وَالْيَتٰمٰى وَالْمَسٰكِيْنَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيْلِۙ وَالسَّاۤىِٕلِيْنَ وَفىِ الرِّقَابِۚ وَاَقَامَ الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتَى الزَّكٰوةَ ۚ وَالْمُوْفُوْنَ بِعَهْدِهِمْ اِذَا عَاهَدُوْا ۚ وَالصّٰبِرِيْنَ فِى الْبَأْسَاۤءِ وَالضَّرَّاۤءِ وَحِيْنَ الْبَأْسِۗ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ الَّذِيْنَ صَدَقُوْا ۗوَاُولٰۤىِٕكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُوْنَ
laisal-birra an tuwallū wujūhakum qibalal-masyriqi wal-magribi wa lākinnal-birra man āmana billāhi wal-yaumil ākhiri wal-malā'ikati wal-kitābi wan-nabiyyīn(a), wa ātal-māla ‘alā ḥubbihī żawil-qurbā wal-yatāmā wal-masākīna wabnas-sabīl(i), was-sā'ilīna wa fir-riqāb(i), wa aqāmaṣ-ṣalāta wa ātaz-zakāh(ta), wal mūfūna bi‘ahdihim iżā ‘āhadū, waṣ-ṣābirīna fil-ba'sā'i waḍ-ḍarrā'i wa ḥīnal-ba's(i), ulā'ikal-lażīna ṣadaqū, wa ulā'ika humul-muttaqūn(a).
Righteousness is not turning your faces east or west, but believing in God, the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets, giving wealth, despite love for it, to kin, orphans, the needy, travelers, beggars, and for freeing slaves, establishing prayer, giving zakat, fulfilling covenants, and being patient in hardship, adversity, and battle. Such are the truthful and God-fearing.
اَللّٰهُ لَآ اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۚ اَلْحَيُّ الْقَيُّوْمُ ەۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهٗ سِنَةٌ وَّلَا نَوْمٌۗ لَهٗ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِى الْاَرْضِۗ مَنْ ذَا الَّذِيْ يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهٗٓ اِلَّا بِاِذْنِهٖۗ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ اَيْدِيْهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْۚ وَلَا يُحِيْطُوْنَ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهٖٓ اِلَّا بِمَا شَاۤءَۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضَۚ وَلَا يَـُٔوْدُهٗ حِفْظُهُمَاۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيْمُ
allāhu lā ilāha illā huw(a), al-ḥayyul-qayyūm(u), lā ta'khużuhū sinatuw wa lā naum(un), lahū mā fis-samāwāti wa mā fil-arḍ(i), man żal-lażī yasyfa‘u ‘indahū illā bi'iżnih(ī), ya‘lamu mā baina aidīhim wa mā khalfahum, wa lā yuḥīṭūna bisyai'im min ‘ilmihī illā bimā syā'(a), wasi‘a kursiyyuhus-samāwāti wal-arḍ(a), wa lā ya'ūduhū ḥifẓuhumā, wa huwal-‘aliyyul-‘aẓīm(u).
God, there is no deity but He, the Ever-Living, Sustainer of all. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. His is what is in the heavens and earth. Who can intercede with Him without His permission? He knows what is before and behind them; they grasp none of His knowledge except what He wills. His Throne extends over heavens and earth; preserving them burdens Him not. He is the Most High, Most Great.
يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اٰمِنُوْا بِاللّٰهِ وَرَسُوْلِهٖ وَالْكِتٰبِ الَّذِيْ نَزَّلَ عَلٰى رَسُوْلِهٖ وَالْكِتٰبِ الَّذِيْٓ اَنْزَلَ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۗوَمَنْ يَّكْفُرْ بِاللّٰهِ وَمَلٰۤىِٕكَتِهٖ وَكُتُبِهٖ وَرُسُلِهٖ وَالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلٰلًا ۢ بَعِيْدًا
yā ayyuhal-lażīna āmanū āminū billāhi wa rasūlihī wal-kitābil-lażī nazzala ‘alā rasūlihī wal-kitābil-lażī anzala min qabl(u), wa may yakfur billāhi wa malā'ikatihī wa kutubihī wa rusulihī wal-yaumil-ākhiri faqad ḍalla ḍalālam ba‘īdā(n).
O you who believe! Maintain your faith in Allah, His Messenger (Muhammad), the Book (the Qur’an) revealed to His Messenger, and the books revealed before. Whoever disbelieves in Allah, His angels, His books, His messengers, and the Last Day has gone far astray.
وَلِلّٰهِ يَسْجُدُ مَا فِى السَّمٰوٰتِ وَمَا فِى الْاَرْضِ مِنْ دَاۤبَّةٍ وَّالْمَلٰۤىِٕكَةُ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُوْنَ
wa lillāhi yasjudu mā fis-samāwāti wa mā fil-arḍi min dābbatiw wal-malā'ikatu wa hum yastakbirūn(a).
To Allah prostrates whatever is in the heavens and earth, every creature and the angels, and they are not arrogant.
وَاِنَّا عَلٰٓى اَنْ نُّرِيَكَ مَا نَعِدُهُمْ لَقٰدِرُوْنَ
wa innā ‘alā an nuriyaka mā na‘iduhum laqādirūn(a).
We can show you what We promised them
هُوَ الْاَوَّلُ وَالْاٰخِرُ وَالظَّاهِرُ وَالْبَاطِنُۚ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيْمٌ
huwal-awwalu wal-ākhiru waẓ-ẓāhiru wal-bāṭin(u), wa huwa bikulli syai'in ‘alīm(un).
He is the First, the Last, the Manifest, the Hidden, and He knows all things
قُلْ هُوَ اللّٰهُ اَحَدٌۚ
qul huwallāhu aḥad(un).
Say, He is Allah, the One and Only.
اَللّٰهُ الصَّمَدُۚ
allāhuṣ-ṣamad(u).
Allah is the place to ask for everything.
لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُوْلَدْۙ
lam yalid wa lam yūlad.
He neither begets nor is begotten.
وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَّهٗ كُفُوًا اَحَدٌ ࣖ
wa lam yakul lahū kufuwan aḥad(un).
And nothing is equivalent to Him.
