وَلَوْ اَنَّ اَهْلَ الْقُرٰٓى اٰمَنُوْا وَاتَّقَوْا لَفَتَحْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ بَرَكٰتٍ مِّنَ السَّمَاۤءِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَلٰكِنْ كَذَّبُوْا فَاَخَذْنٰهُمْ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَكْسِبُوْنَ
wa lau anna ahlal-qurā āmanū wattaqau lafataḥnā ‘alaihim barakātim minas-samā'i wal ardḍi wa lākin każżabū fa akhażnāhum bimā kānū yaksibūn(a).
Had the people of those cities believed and feared Allah, We would have opened blessings from heaven and earth upon them. But they denied, so We seized them for what they earned.
فَاِذَا بَلَغْنَ اَجَلَهُنَّ فَاَمْسِكُوْهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوْفٍ اَوْ فَارِقُوْهُنَّ بِمَعْرُوْفٍ وَّاَشْهِدُوْا ذَوَيْ عَدْلٍ مِّنْكُمْ وَاَقِيْمُوا الشَّهَادَةَ لِلّٰهِ ۗذٰلِكُمْ يُوْعَظُ بِهٖ مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ ەۗ وَمَنْ يَّتَّقِ اللّٰهَ يَجْعَلْ لَّهٗ مَخْرَجًا ۙ
fa iżā balagna ajalahunna fa amsikūhunna bima‘rūfin au fāriqūhunna bima‘rūfiw wa asyhidū żawai ‘adlim minkum wa aqīmusy-syahādata lillāh(i), żālikum yū‘aẓu bihī man kāna yu'minu billāhi wal-yaumil-ākhir(i), wa may yattaqillāha yaj‘al lahū makhrajā(n).
When they near the end of their waiting period, either take them back honorably or part with them honorably. Call two just witnesses from among you and establish testimony for God. This is instructed for those who believe in God and the Last Day. Whoever fears God, He will provide a way out for them.
وَّيَرْزُقْهُ مِنْ حَيْثُ لَا يَحْتَسِبُۗ وَمَنْ يَّتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللّٰهِ فَهُوَ حَسْبُهٗ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ بَالِغُ اَمْرِهٖۗ قَدْ جَعَلَ اللّٰهُ لِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدْرًا
wa yarzuqhu min ḥaiṡu lā yaḥtasib(u), wa may yatawakkal ‘alallāhi fa huwa ḥasbuh(ū), innallāha bāligu amrih(ī), qad ja‘alallāhu likulli syai'in qadrā(n).
He will grant them provision from unexpected sources. Whoever trusts in God, He will suffice them. God accomplishes His purpose. God has set a measure for all things.
